Loving Life
This month Steven had the privilege of interviewing Roslyn Bell. Roslyn gives so much in this chat with Steven so please take the time to watch it yourself and I promise you, you will be truly inspired. Here is a brief summary.

At the young age of 25, married with 2 toddlers, life threw Roslyn Bell a huge curve ball. Then again 5 years later yet another one came along. In this inspiring interview Roslyn tells us how these events changed her life in the most amazing way and what Roslyn believes are the keys factors in achieving a happy and successful life.

When Roslyn was 25 she rang to say she would be home in 20 minutes. It was in fact 6 weeks before she arrived home. On her way home she was in an horrific car crash that left her very seriously injured. In hospital Roslyn refused to accept what the doctors told her and she simply said “NO, I REFUSE THIS!” At the time Roslyn didn’t understand the power of the spoken word and that you can chose what you take on board in life so without even realising it she was living this way and by saying “No! Certainly not!” she ensured that she made a full recovery! Roslyn tells Steven she believes she never really came home because it was a new person that eventually returned home.

As if that wasn’t enough to cope with, when Roslyn was 30 she was diagnosed with cancer. Now she realised this was her 2nd chance at life and she was going to live it! Her dream had been to open a business and so that’s what she did despite everyone saying it would be impossible. She has opened several successful businesses since and Roslyn tells Stevens that the key to her business success is that she believes in herself no matter what anyone else says and she goes by her gut feeling and follows her heart.

Roslyn recognises that not everything goes as we might expect but that by adapting and getting creative we can actually end up with something even better than we originally planned. We hear that it’s really about starting the journey and trusting that it will turn out right.
Later in the interview Roslyn provides us with some great tips for dealing with the little dramas in life. We hear how she does everything from a place of giving and the ways in which we can start to do the same. It’s also very clear throughout the interview that Roslyn is a true believer in the power of gratitude and also the importance of having FUN!

We are reminded that it is not our successes that make us but rather it’s the journey, that is how we treat people and how we deal with things along the way. What we have is in fact irrelevant because as Roslyn quite rightly says “if we are open, warm and nice, that’s worth any million pounds!”

Well openness and warmth fl ow from this lovely lady in abundance. I know you will be encouraged, moved and inspired by listening to Roslyn’s interview and by reading her new best selling book ‘I will be home in 20 minutes’ so take action now and watch the DVD! I know you will enjoy it, I certainly did.

Stevey Chat
Steven begins by reading the following beautiful poem which helps us to remember to shift our focus from the negative in a situation to the positive.

Be Thankful
~ Author Unknown ~
Be thankful that you don’t already have
everything you desire. If you did, what
would there be to look forward to?
Be thankful when you don’t know
something, for it gives you the
opportunity to learn.
Be thankful for the difficult times.
During those times you grow.
Be thankful for your limitations,
because they give you opportunities for
improvement.
Be thankful for your mistakes. They will teach you valuable
lessons.
Be thankful when you’re tired and weary, because it means
you’ve made a difference.
It’s easy to be thankful for the good things. A life of rich
fulfillment comes to those who are also thankful for the
setbacks.
Gratitude can turn a negative into a positive. Find a way
to be thankful for your troubles, and they can become your
blessings.

Steven recognises it’s hard to be thankful when you feel the future is gloomy but he shares with us that it was an attitude of gratitude that turned his life around a number of years ago. When things were bleak he asked for help from God and the answer was that he needed to recognise all the many wonderful things already he already had in his life. When we do the same we will feel lightness, happiness, we will find that we have more things to be grateful for and believe that nothing is impossible! Now that sounds good!

We hear an excerpt from The Secret’s Gratitude Book in which we are reminded that negative emotions turn you away from all that is good and that if want something we must be grateful for what we currently have before it can manifest.
Steven takes then us through a few simple but very powerful gratitude exercises. These exercises don’t take very long and will leave us feeling better about ourselves, feeling better about our future, more relaxed with stress and negativity simply falling away. Please take the time to do these simple exercises and your life will begin to change immediately. The inspirational story of Abraham Lincoln is wonderful to listen to and we find out how Thanksgiving Day in America
came to be!

Steven ends this month with the recommendation we get our own gratitude book and write in it every morning all that we are grateful for. What a fabulous way to start the day! Finally we hear the Be Thankful poem once again and Christian D. Larson’s beautiful Promise poem.

A truly uplifting Stevey Chat. Thank you Steven!
